‘Urban Bangkok – Contemporary
Reflections’
Bangkok
is a city full of life, where in every corner of every street, there are foodstalls,
markets, colourful altars and buddhist temples. Every street is a small village
within the city. The capital of the Kingdom of Smiles is the arrival point of
millions of tourists, from all other the world, coming to enjoy the real Asia.
However,
the aim of this Black and White documentary book and exhibition is to increase
awareness to the people visiting Bangkok, that not every thing is bright and
nice everyday and that the city is full of contrast, from the traditional values
of the Thais, to the modernism and economic developments, to the vibrant but
contradictory night scene, to the true Thai people with their values and life
style within the city.
The
book is still under process but will be launched in 2006 after three years of
work.
