September 2007
Joakim has been assigned by AZU Editions to update the book 'Dreams of Thailand - Phuket' and spent one week in Phuket to photograph the island. A brand new collection of pictures (10Mb RAW format) are available for license!

Joakim has also contributed 14 pictures of his Urban Bangkok project (Black and White photography) to Space Time (Bangkok - Thailand) for a book named Asian Alterity and to be published in December 2007 by Select Book in Singapore.

August 2007
Joakim has photographed Singapore for a local Singapore company to produce Card Games with 54 pictures of views and 54 pictures of Orchids.These card games will be launched in December 2007.

July 2007
Joakim has contributed a photo feature (front cover + 8 pages) for the Bangkok 101 magazine - July edition. Named Urban Bangkok, the feature is a documentary approach of Bangkok and is part of his wider coffee table book project 'Urban Bangkok - Contemporary Reflections'.

March 2007
Joakim was assigned by Tourism Malaysia to cover the Eco Challenge event in Taman Negara - Malaysia. This event was part of the 50th Independence Anniversary of Malaysia.

February 2007
Joakim covered the Chinese New Year in Melaka - Malaysia for Tourism Malaysia. It was an event part of the 50th Independence Anniversary of Malaysia aimed at promoting the Chinese culture of Malaysia.

September - October 2006
Joakim was part of a photographic team to cover the Malaysian states of Kedah, Langkawi and Perlis for Tourism Malaysia. This job was to update the photo library of those states.

November 2005
Aperture Asia Productions’ agency has just been set up by Joakim Leroy in Hong Kong and can offer full services in Photography, Publishing, Design and Consulting in South East and East Asia. His in-depth knowledge of Asian countries, cultures and traditions, plus a strong expertise in customer needs in photography and design, enables Joakim to offer a very competitive edge.

Aperture Asia website is being updated after one year! Sorry! New digital images from Singapore and Malaysia are available now (up to 15 million pixels). Images of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, will soon be added to the database.

Aperture Asia Productions is set up in Hong Kong for a better impact in Asia. Joakim can now offer full services in creative photography and advertising to any company requiring specific work.

The website has been finally updated. It contains now :

New stock photography from Seoul, South Korea, have been added to the Colour Stock Library and the Fine Art Gallery.
The menus have been also updated, it comprises now new sections, such as Book projects for the upcoming work on Jakarta and Bangkok.
To facilitate services and photography inquiries, there is now only one interactive form at photorequest.
There is a complete new selection of black and white photography about Bangkok for a book and exhibition concept that will be named 'Urban Bangkok - Images of Today'. Look directly here at the 'book concepts' and 'exhibition projects'.

Coming soon new stock photography of South Korea. After spending the Christmas season there, new photography both in Colour and Black & White will be available soon on the web. Even though the Winter season is not the best to photography Korea (actually Autumn is the most colourful and best for shooting), images of temples, traditional people, street life, live style will soon be online.

It has been constantly raining in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, indeed it's the rainy season, and with the moutainous Sumatra not far on the West, the rain kept on pouring down and down. However, a couple of days of sunlight arose and that good weather window was sufficient to take some architecturial photography of these two cities.

Around 40 new stock photography of Singapore and Malaysia.
Theme: colonial and modern architecture facets of these two lively cities of South East Asia.

New stock photography from Bali, Indonesia online! 137 new pictures added on the Colour Stock Library

First general update of the website. Here follows the latest technical developments:
On the homepage, new front photos open up flash documents to show quickly the latest shooting.
On the photojournalism part, a new thumbnail design has been developed in order to just have a single page with a new open window system to facilitate the viewing.
And this news page has been added!
